Deuteronomy 14:26

"And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household."

 

"ထိုငွေကို သင်တို့၏စိတ်နှလုံးတပ်မက်သမျှအတွက်၊ နွားများ၊ သိုးများ၊ စပျစ်ရည်၊ ယမကာစသည်တို့အတွက် သုံးစွဲရမည်။ သင်တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရားသခင်ရှေ့တော်၌ စားသောက်ပြီး၊ သင်နှင့်သင်၏အိမ်သူအိမ်သားတို့သည် ဝမ်းမြောက်စွာ ပျော်ရွှင်ရမည်။"

Answer

This counsel was given to the people at a time when they were yet wondering in the wilderness. The Lord said, Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed that the held bringeth forth year by year. And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there (Deuteronomy 14:22, 23).This counsel in particular applied to those who lived a long distance from the sanctuary (verse 24). They were to take their increase (produce, livestock, etc.), sell it, and "turn it into money" (verse 25).Then when they came near the tabernacle they were to buy with their tithe money whatever they desired to offer to the Lord (verse 26).Notice that verse three prohibited the eating of anything "abominable" So the phrase “whatsoever thy soul lusteth after" had its limitations. As pertaining to the strong drink, there were specific instructions concerning what should be done with it. Unfortunately, some have taken the wording "whatsoever thine soul lusteth after” as permission to imbibe alcoholic beverages. But the believer was not to drink the wine or strong drink. The command was, “And the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of him for the one lamb: in the holy place shalt thou cause the strong wine to be poured unto the LORD for a drink offering" (Numbers 28:7).

ဤအကြံပေးချက်ကို ဣသရေလလူမျိုးတို့ လွင်တီးခေါင်တွင် လှည့်လည်နေစဉ်ကာလ၌ ပေးခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။ ထာဝရဘုရားက "သင်၏မြေသည် နှစ်စဉ်ဖြစ်ထွန်းသော သီးနှံအားလုံး၏ ဆယ်ဖို့တစ်ဖို့ကို ဧကန်အမှန် ပေးရမည်။ ထို့နောက် သင်၏ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရားသည် မိမိနာမတော်ကို ထားရှိရန် ရွေးချယ်သော နေရာ၌၊ ထာဝရဘုရားရှေ့တော်၌ စားသောက်ရမည်" (တရားဟောရာကျမ်း ၁၄:၂၂၊ ၂၃) ဟု မိန့်တော်မူခဲ့သည်။

ဤအကြံပေးချက်သည် အထူးသဖြင့် သန့်ရှင်းရာဌာနမှ ဝေးကွာသောနေရာတွင် နေထိုင်သူများအတွက် ဖြစ်သည် (၂၄ ခုမြောက်ကျမ်းပိုဒ်)။ သူတို့သည် မိမိတို့၏သီးနှံများ၊ တိရစ္ဆာန်များစသည်တို့ကို ယူဆောင်လာပြီး၊ ရောင်းချကာ "ငွေအဖြစ် ပြောင်းလဲရမည်" (၂၅ ခုမြောက်ကျမ်းပိုဒ်)။ ထို့နောက် ပရိဘောဂတဲတော်နှင့် နီးကပ်လာသောအခါ၊ သူတို့သည် ဆယ်ဖို့တစ်ဖို့ငွေဖြင့် ထာဝရဘုရားအား ပူဇော်လိုသော အရာများကို ဝယ်ယူရမည် (၂၆ ခုမြောက်ကျမ်းပိုဒ်)။

၂၃ ခုမြောက်ကျမ်းပိုဒ်တွင် "မသန့်ရှင်းသောအရာ" ကို မစားရန် တားမြစ်ထားသည်။ ထို့ကြောင့် "သင်၏စိတ်နှလုံးတပ်မက်သမျှ" ဟူသော စကားစုသည် ကန့်သတ်ချက်များ ရှိသည်။ ယမကာနှင့်ပတ်သက်၍လည်း၊ ထိုယမကာကို မည်သို့ပြုလုပ်ရမည်ဆိုသည့် သီးသန့်ညွှန်ကြားချက်များ ရှိသည်။ ကံမကောင်းစွာပင်၊ အချို့သူများက "သင်၏စိတ်နှလုံးတပ်မက်သမျှ" ဟူသော စကားစုကို အရက်သေစာသောက်စားခြင်းအတွက် ခွင့်ပြုချက်အဖြစ် မှတ်ယူကြသည်။ သို့သော်၊ ယုံကြည်သူများသည် စပျစ်ရည် သို့မဟုတ် ယမကာကို မသောက်ရန် ဖြစ်သည်။ ပညတ်တော်မှာ "ယဇ်ပူဇော်ရာတွင် သွန်းလောင်းရမည့် စပျစ်ရည်သည် သိုးကလေးတစ်ကောင်အတွက် တစ်ပိဿာဖြစ်သည်။ သန့်ရှင်းရာဌာန၌ ထာဝရဘုရားအား ယဇ်ပူဇော်ရန် ယမကာကို သွန်းလောင်းရမည်" (တောလည်ရာကျမ်း ၂၈:၇) ဟု ဖော်ပြထားသည်။
