Jeremiah 17:27

But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the Sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates

Thereof and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

"သို့သော်လည်း၊ သင်တို့သည် ဥပုသ်နေ့ကို သန့်ရှင်းစွာထား၍၊ ဥပုသ်နေ့တွင် ဝန်ထုပ်ဝန်ပိုးများကို မသယ်ဆောင်ရန် ငါ့စကားကို နားမထောင်လျှင်၊ ငါသည် ယေရုရှလင်မြို့၏ တံခါးများတွင် မီးကို စတင်လောင်စေမည်။ ထိုမီးသည် ယေရုရှလင်မြို့၏ နန်းတော်များကို မျိုချလိမ့်မည်။ ထိုမီးသည် မငြိမ်းသတ်နိုင်ပါ။"

Answer

The thought that some take from this text is that there is a fire that never goes out. But the term "shall not be quenched" has to do with the work that the fire does, and while it is accomplishing its object, no one can quench it. Notice that the prophet Isaiah uses the same language: “And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch. It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up forever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever. But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness" (Isaiah 34:9-11).This prophecy pertaining to Idea (Edom) speaks of it as a burning pitch that “shall not be quenched." Yet it speaks of different birds dwelling there. So, once the fire does its work then birds, not humans, will have their habitation there. This ancient area is now southern Israel and adjacent Jordan. This place is not still burning.

 

ဤကျမ်းပိုဒ်မှ ရရှိသော အဓိပ္ပာယ်မှာ၊ မီးသည် မငြိမ်းသတ်နိုင်သော မီးဖြစ်သည်ဟု အချို့လူများက ထင်မှတ်ကြသည်။ သို့သော်၊ "မငြိမ်းသတ်နိုင်" ဟူသော စကားစုသည် မီး၏လုပ်ငန်းကို ရည်ညွှန်းပြီး၊ ထိုမီးသည် ၎င်း၏ရည်ရွယ်ချက်ကို ပြီးမြောက်စေသည်အထိ၊ မည်သူမျှ မငြိမ်းသတ်နိုင်ပါ။

ထိုပြည်သည် လောင်ကျွမ်းနေသော ကျောက်ဖယောင်းကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။
ထိုမီးသည် ညဉ့်နေ့မပြတ် လောင်မြိုက်လိမ့်မည်။ မငြိမ်းသတ်နိုင်ပါ။
ထိုမီး၏မီးခိုးသည် အစဉ်အမြဲ တက်လိမ့်မည်။
မျိုးဆက်တစ်ဆက်ပြီးတစ်ဆက် လူသူကင်းမဲ့သော နေရာဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။
ထိုနေရာကို မည်သူမျှ ဖြတ်သန်းသွားလာလိမ့်မည် မဟုတ်ပါ။
သို့သော်၊ ဇီးကွက်နှင့် ငှက်ကြီးများသည် ထိုနေရာကို ပိုင်ဆိုင်ကြလိမ့်မည်။
ဇီးကွက်နှင့် ကျီးကန်းများလည်း ထိုနေရာတွင် နေထိုင်ကြလိမ့်မည်။
ထိုပြည်ကို ရှုပ်ထွေးခြင်း၏ကြိုးဖြင့် တိုင်းတာမည်။
အချည်းနှီးသော ကျောက်တုံးများဖြင့် ပြည့်နှက်စေမည်။"
