2 Corinthians 4:16

For which because we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

It does not matter how old a person becomes, his physical frame may continue to deteriorate, but his spiritual life may continue to increase from day to day. Paul states,” I die daily" (1 Corinthians 15:31). Though this statement can be viewed as

Speaking of the physical, Paul is talking about dying to self so he could live for Christ. Paul is constantly contrasting the spiritual with the physical. In Galatians he writes, “Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh"(Galatians 5; 16).Paul, in the verse in question, is talking about the inner strength he finds in the Lord. He writes, “And he said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong" (2 Corinthians 12:9, 10).And in Philippians he wrote,” I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me" (Philippians 4:13).

ဤစာပိုဒ်သည် လူတစ်ဦး၏အသက်အရွယ်ကြီးရင့်လာသည်နှင့်အမျှ သူ၏ခန္ဓာကိုယ်သည် ယိုယွင်းလာနိုင်သော်လည်း၊ သူ၏ဝိညာဉ်ရေးရာအသက်တာသည် နေ့စဉ်နှင့်အမျှ တိုးပွားလာနိုင်ကြောင်း ဖော်ပြထားသည်။ ပေါလုက၊ "ငါသည် နေ့စဉ်သေရသည်" (၁ ကော်ရိန္သု ၁၅:၃၁) ဟု ဆိုခဲ့သည်။ ဤအဆိုအမိန့်ကို ရုပ်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာအနေဖြင့် ကြည့်မြင်နိုင်သော်လည်း၊ ပေါလုသည် မိမိကိုယ်ကို သေခြင်းအားဖြင့် ခရစ်တော်အတွက် အသက်ရှင်ရန် ပြောဆိုနေခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။ ပေါလုသည် ဝိညာဉ်ရေးရာနှင့် ရုပ်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာကို အမြဲထင်ဟပ်စေသည်။ ဂလာတိဩဝါဒစာတွင် သူက၊ "ဝိညာဉ်တော်၌ ကျင့်ကြလော့။ ထိုသို့ကျင့်လျှင် ဇာတိပကတိ၏အလိုသို့ လိုက်ခြင်းကို မပြုကြရာ" (ဂလာတိ ၅:၁၆) ဟု ရေးသားခဲ့သည်။ ပေါလုသည် ဤကျမ်းပိုဒ်တွင် သူ၏အတွင်းစိတ်ခွန်အားကို သခင်ထံမှ ရရှိကြောင်း ပြောဆိုနေခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။ သူက၊ "ထိုအခါ ထာဝရဘုရားက၊ ငါ၏ကျေးဇူးတော်သည် သင့်အတွက် လုံလောက်၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါ၏တန်ခိုးတော်သည် အားနည်းခြင်း၌ စုံလင်စွာထင်ရှားတတ်၏ဟု ငါ့အား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ ထိုကြောင့် ငါသည် အားနည်းခြင်း၊ ကဲ့ရဲ့ခြင်း၊ ဆင်းရဲခြင်း၊ ညှဉ်းဆဲခြင်း၊ ဒုက္ခခံခြင်းတို့၌ ဝမ်းမြောက်စွာ ဂုဏ်ယူ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါသည် အားနည်းသောအခါ၌ ခိုင်ခံ့သောသူဖြစ်၏" (၂ ကော်ရိန္သု ၁၂:၉၊ ၁၀) ဟု ရေးသားခဲ့သည်။ ထို့အပြင်၊ ဖိလိပ္ပိဩဝါဒစာတွင် သူက၊ "ငါသည် ခရစ်တော်အားဖြင့် ခွန်အားပေးတော်မူသောသူကို အားကိုး၍ အရာရာကို ပြုနိုင်၏" (ဖိလိပ္ပိ ၄:၁၃) ဟု ရေးသားခဲ့သည်။
