Romans 14:21

It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbled, or is offended, or is made weak.

"အသားကို မစားဘဲနေခြင်း၊ စပျစ်ရည်ကို မသောက်ဘဲနေခြင်း၊ သို့မဟုတ် သင်၏ညီအစ်ကိုကို မတုန်လှုပ်စေရန်၊ စိတ်နှလုံးမထိခိုက်စေရန်၊ သို့မဟုတ် အားနည်းစေရန် ဖြစ်နိုင်သော အရာများကို မပြုဘဲနေခြင်းသည် ကောင်းပါသည်။"

Answer

Again Paul is suggesting an attitude that should be taken by those who did not see

the food offered to idols as unclean as others did (1 Corinthians 8:1, 10).He winds up his discussion on this issue by writing, “Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend"(1 Corinthians 8:13).He in no way is suggesting that a Christian can eat or drink anything, for he wrote, “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are" (1Corinthians 3:16, 17).

ပေါလုသည် ရုပ်တုများအား ဆက်ကပ်ထားသော အစားအစာကို မသန့်ရှင်းဟု မမြင်သောသူများအတွက် မည်သို့သော စိတ်ထားရှိသင့်ကြောင်း အကြံပြုထားသည် (၁ ကောရိန္သု ၈:၁၊ ၁၀)။ သူသည် ဤကိစ္စနှင့် ပတ်သက်၍ ဆွေးနွေးချက်ကို ဤသို့အဆုံးသတ်ထားသည်-
"ထို့ကြောင့်၊ အစားအစာသည် ငါ၏ညီအစ်ကိုကို အပြစ်သို့ ရောက်စေလျှင်၊ ဤလောက၌ နေသမျှကာလပတ်လုံး အသားကို ငါမစားတော့ပါ။ ငါ၏ညီအစ်ကိုကို အပြစ်သို့ မရောက်စေရန် ဖြစ်၏" (၁ ကောရိန္သု ၈:၁၃)။

သို့သော်၊ ပေါလုသည် ခရစ်ယာန်တစ်ဦးသည် မည်သည့်အရာကိုမဆို စားသောက်နိုင်သည်ဟု မဆိုလိုပါ။ အဘယ်ကြောင့်ဆိုသော်၊ သူဤသို့ရေးသားခဲ့သည်-
"သင်တို့သည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ ဗိမာန်တော်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏ ဝိညာဉ်တော်သည် သင်တို့ထဲ၌ ကိန်းဝပ်တော်မူကြောင်း သင်တို့မသိကြသလော။ မည်သူမဆို ဘုရားသခင်၏ ဗိမာန်တော်ကို ညစ်ညူးစေပါက၊ ဘုရားသခင်သည် ထိုသူကို ဖျက်ဆီးတော်မူမည်။ အဘယ်ကြောင့်ဆိုသော်၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏ ဗိမာန်တော်သည် သန့်ရှင်းပြီး၊ ထိုဗိမာန်တော်သည် သင်တို့ပင်ဖြစ်ကြ၏" (၁ ကောရိန္သု ၃:၁၆၊ ၁၇)။
