Howbeit then, when ye knew not Goodbye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. But now, after that brave known God, or rather are known of God, bow turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.

၈ “သို့သော် ထိုအခါ သင်တို့သည် ဘုရားသခင်ကို မသိသောကြောင့်၊ သဘာဝအားဖြင့် ဘုရားမဟုတ်သောအရာတို့ကို ကျွန်ခံခဲ့ကြသည်။”

Answer

In this church of Galatia there were Judaizers seeking to overturn Paul's work among the Gentiles. They were attempting to get the Gentiles to be circumcised (Galatians 5:2-11) and to follow the feast days of the Old Testament. (See Leviticus 23:4-44for a list of these festivals.) These feasts which were also called "Sabbaths”, aside from the weekly Sabbaths (Leviticus. 23:38), were considered shadows (Colossians 2:17) pointing to Christ. They were to be in force until the time that the type would meet antitype, or as it says in chapter 3:24:"The law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. “In other words, Christ was our Passover. For example, Paul wrote, “For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth" (1 Corinthians 5:7, 8). This is the way that a Christian is to keep the "feast."

For a Christian to keep the literal Passover is to deny that Christ died as the lamb. In actuality, no one today can keep these feast days. For in order to keep them, the animal sacrifices must be offered. Each feast day required specific offerings. Not even the Jews today are able to keep them as proscribed by the ceremonial law. In the book of Chronicles we read, “And to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the LORD in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually before the LORD"(1 Chronicles 23:31). In our day, animal sacrifices are outlawed. And those who make an attempt to keep these ceremonial days are effectually betraying Christ as the true Messiah. These feast days

Were called Sabbaths’ and were to be observed in their season (Leviticus 23:4).They were to be observed on specific dates. For example, “In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S Passover"(Leviticus 23:5). This means that it could fall on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, depending on the year. But because they were called Sabbaths, the people were enjoined to cease from work just as if it were the weekly Sabbath, (See Leviticus 23.)

It is these ceremonies that fell on their specific times and dates that Paul calls “beggarly Clements." Christ instituted a change for keeping the Passover prior to His death so that it could be included in the new covenant. He said, “For this is the blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins"(Matthew 26:28).Notice that this is the only ceremony carried over by Him into the new covenant. This ceremony is called the Lord's Supper today. Paul, under inspiration, states not a specific time any longer enjoined upon believers for keeping it, but as often as you do it'(1 Corinthians 11:23-26).Titus put it this way: “Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth" (Titus 1:13).
