John 1:17

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

"အကြောင်းမူကား၊ တရားတော်ကို မောရှေအားဖြင့် ပေးတော်မူသော်လည်း၊ ကျေးဇူးတော်နှင့် သစ္စာတရားသည် ယေရှုခရစ်အားဖြင့် ဖြစ်လာပြီ။"
(ယောဟန် ၁:၁၇)

 

Answer

It was Moses that gave the law to Israel. Moses was given that law by God. (See Deuteronomy 4:13.) What is the meaning of this verse? John is making a comparison between what Moses did and what Christ did. He was not dealing with time, but rather continues to magnify Christ's person above all others. It is like the sun that outshines the brightness of the moon. In other words, Moses, who was highly Regarded as giving the law, does not compare to Jesus, who gave us grace and truth. But when did Christ give this grace and truth? Grace and truth did not originate when Jesus appeared as a man on earth. Grace was around in Noah's day (Genesis 6:8).Truth was present in the days of Abraham (Genesis 24:27).Israel found grace in the wilderness (Jeremiah 31:2).And Paul writes, “Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began"(2 Timothy 1:9).What John is saying is that Chris is the originator of grace and truth. Jesus Himself claims,” I am the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6).

 

မောရှေသည် တရားတော်ကို အစ္စရေလလူမျိုးတို့အား ပေးခဲ့သည်။ မောရှေသည် ထိုတရားတော်ကို ဘုရားသခင်ထံမှ ရရှိခဲ့သည်။ (တရားဟောရာကျမ်း ၄:၁၃ ကိုကြည့်ပါ။) ဤကျမ်းပိုဒ်၏ အဓိပ္ပာယ်မှာ အဘယ်နည်း။ ယောဟန်သည် မောရှေပြုခဲ့သောအရာနှင့် ခရစ်တော်ပြုခဲ့သောအရာကို နှိုင်းယှဉ်နေခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။ သူသည် အချိန်ကို မဆိုလိုဘဲ၊ ခရစ်တော်၏ပုဂ္ဂိုလ်တော်ကို အခြားသူများထက် မြှင့်တင်နေခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။ ဤသည်မှာ လ၏အလင်းထက် နေမင်း၏အလင်းက ပိုမိုတောက်ပသကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်သည်။ တစ်နည်းအားဖြင့်၊ တရားတော်ကို ပေးခဲ့သည်ဟု အလွန်အမြတ်တနိုးထားခံရသော မောရှေသည်၊ ကျေးဇူးတော်နှင့် သစ္စာတရားကို ပေးခဲ့သော ယေရှုနှင့် နှိုင်းယှဉ်၍မရပါ။ သို့သော်၊ ခရစ်တော်သည် ကျေးဇူးတော်နှင့် သစ္စာတရားကို မည်သည့်အချိန်တွင် ပေးခဲ့သနည်း။ ကျေးဇူးတော်နှင့် သစ္စာတရားသည် ယေရှုသည် လူဇာတိအဖြစ် ကမ္ဘာပေါ်တွင် ပေါ်ထွန်းသောအခါမှ စတင်ခြင်းမဟုတ်ပါ။ ကျေးဇူးတော်သည် နောဧ၏နေ့ရက်များတွင် ရှိနှင့်ပြီးဖြစ်သည် (က၊ ၆:၈)။ သစ္စာတရားသည် အာဗြဟံ၏နေ့ရက်များတွင် ရှိနှင့်ပြီးဖြစ်သည် (က၊ ၂၄:၂၇)။ အစ္စရေလလူမျိုးတို့သည် တောကန္တာရ၌ ကျေးဇူးတော်ကို တွေ့ရှိခဲ့သည် (ယေရမိ ၃၁:၂)။ ပေါလုကလည်း “ထိုဘုရားသခင်သည် ငါတို့ကို ကယ်တင်တော်မူ၍၊ သန့်ရှင်းသောအမှုတော်ကို ဆောင်ရွက်ရန် ခေါ်တော်မူပြီ။ ဤသို့ခေါ်တော်မူခြင်းသည် ငါတို့၏အကျင့်ကောင်းများကြောင့် မဟုတ်၊ ကိုယ်တော်၏အလိုတော်နှင့် ကျေးဇူးတော်ကြောင့်သာ ဖြစ်၏။ ထိုကျေးဇူးတော်ကို ခရစ်တော်ယေရှု၌ လောကမတည်မီက ပေးတော်မူပြီ” (၂ တိမောသေ ၁:၉) ဟု ရေးသားခဲ့သည်။ ယောဟန်ဆိုလိုသည်မှာ၊ ခရစ်တော်သည် ကျေးဇူးတော်နှင့် သစ္စာတရား၏ အရင်းအမြစ်ဖြစ်သည်။ ယေရှုကိုယ်တိုင်က “ငါသည် လမ်းခရီး၊ သစ္စာတရားနှင့် အသက်ဖြစ်၏” (ယောဟန် ၁၄:၆) ဟု ကြေညာခဲ့သည်။
