Luke 23:43

And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

"ယေရှုက သူ့အား၊ 'အမှန်အကန်ငါဆိုသည်ကား၊ ယနေ့ပင် သင်သည် ငါနှင့်အတူ ပရဒိသုဘုံ၌ ရှိလိမ့်မည်' ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။"

Answer

Many take this text to prove that people go immediately to heaven when they die. However, Jesus could not have been making such a promise, for He himself said to Mary three days later on Sunday morning, “Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Fatherland to my God, and your God"(John 20:17).Jesus died on Friday, but the thieves did not. They had their legs broken because they were still alive. So Christ and the thieves did not even die on the same day. (See John 19:31-33). Where then lies the problem? In the Greek language there are no punctuation marks. Hence in the translation from Greek into English the comma was placed before the word "today" rather than after. Here is an example as to how a comma can change the meaning of a sentence. “A woman without her man is nothing!" Now let's add some commas. “A woman, without her, man is nothing! “The added commas change the meaning completely. Thus the assurance was,” I am telling you today, you will be with me in paradise. “The converted convict was asking to be remembered when Christ went into His kingdom. Jesus taught His believers to pray, "Thy kingdom come" So, when His kingdom comes in the future, the thief will have his plea realized. As Jesus well said, “And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that everyone which saith the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day"(John 6:39, 40).

 

လူများစွာက ဤကျမ်းပိုဒ်ကို လူများသေပြီးနောက် ချက်ချင်းကောင်းကင်သို့ သွားသည်ဟု သက်သေပြရန် အသုံးပြုကြသည်။ သို့သော်၊ ယေရှုသည် ထိုကဲ့သို့သော ကတိကို မပေးနိုင်ပါ။ အကြောင်းမှာ၊ သူကိုယ်တိုင် တနင်္ဂနွေနံနက်တွင် မာရိကို “ငါ့ကို မထိကြနှင့်။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါသည် ငါ့ခမည်းတော်ထံသို့ မတက်ရောက်သေး။ သို့သော်၊ ငါ့ညီတို့ထံသို့ သွား၍၊ ငါသည် ငါ့ခမည်းတော်နှင့် သင်တို့၏ခမည်းတော်ထံသို့၊ ငါ့ဘုရားသခင်နှင့် သင်တို့၏ဘုရားသခင်ထံသို့ တက်ရောက်မည်ဟု ပြောလော့” (ယောဟန် ၂၀:၁၇) ဟု မိန့်တော်မူခဲ့သည်။ ယေရှုသည် သောကြာနေ့တွင် ကွယ်လွန်တော်မူခဲ့သော်လည်း၊ ထိုသူခိုးနှစ်ယောက်သည် မသေသေးပါ။ သူတို့၏ခြေထောက်များကို ချိုးဖဲ့ခဲ့ကြသည်။ အကြောင်းမှာ၊ သူတို့သည် အသက်ရှင်နေသေးသောကြောင့် ဖြစ်သည်။ ထို့ကြောင့်၊ ခရစ်တော်နှင့် သူခိုးနှစ်ယောက်သည် တစ်နေ့တည်းတွင် မသေဆုံးကြပါ။ (ယောဟန် ၁၉:၃၁-၃၃ ကိုကြည့်ပါ)။ ထို့ကြောင့်၊ ပြဿနာမှာ အဘယ်နည်း။ ဂရိဘာသာတွင် ပုဒ်ဖြတ်ပုဒ်ရပ်များ မရှိပါ။ ထို့ကြောင့်၊ ဂရိဘာသာမှ အင်္ဂလိပ်ဘာသာသို့ ဘာသာပြန်ရာတွင်၊ “ယနေ့” ဟူသော စကားလုံးမတိုင်မီ ကော်မာကို ထည့်သွင်းခဲ့သည်။ ဤသည်မှာ ကော်မာတစ်ခုက ဝါကျ၏အဓိပ္ပာယ်ကို မည်သို့ပြောင်းလဲနိုင်သည်ကို ဥပမာတစ်ခုဖြစ်သည်။ “မိန်းမတစ်ယောက်သည် သူ၏ယောက်ျားမရှိလျှင် ဘာမျှမဟုတ်!” ယခု ကော်မာများကို ထည့်ကြည့်ပါ။ “မိန်းမ၊ သူမမရှိလျှင်၊ ယောက်ျားသည် ဘာမျှမဟုတ်!” ထည့်သွင်းလိုက်သော ကော်မာများက အဓိပ္ပာယ်ကို လုံးဝပြောင်းလဲစေသည်။ ထို့ကြောင့်၊ ယေရှု၏အာမခံချက်မှာ “ငါသည် ယနေ့ သင့်အား ပြောနေသည်၊ သင်သည် ငါနှင့်အတူ ပရဒိသုဘုံ၌ ရှိလိမ့်မည်” ဟူ၍ ဖြစ်သည်။ နောင်တရသော သူခိုးသည် ခရစ်တော်၏နိုင်ငံတော်သို့ ဝင်သောအခါ သူ့ကို သတိရရန် တောင်းဆိုခဲ့သည်။ ယေရှုသည် သူ၏ယုံကြည်သူများအား “နိုင်ငံတော်တည်ထောင်ပါစေ” ဟု ဆုတောင်းရန် သွန်သင်ခဲ့သည်။ ထို့ကြောင့်၊ နောင်တွင် သူ၏နိုင်ငံတော် ကြွလာသောအခါ၊ ထိုသူခိုးသည် သူ၏တောင်းဆိုချက်ကို ပြည့်စုံစေခြင်းခံရမည်။ ယေရှုက “ငါ့ကို စေလွှတ်တော်မူသော ခမည်းတော်၏အလိုတော်ကား၊ ငါ့အား ပေးတော်မူသမျှတို့ကို ငါသည် မဆုံးရှုံးစေဘဲ၊ နောက်ဆုံးသောနေ့၌ ထမြောက်စေရမည်။ ငါ့ကို စေလွှတ်တော်မူသော ခမည်းတော်၏အလိုတော်ကား၊ သားတော်ကို မြင်ပြီး ယုံကြည်သောသူအပေါင်းတို့သည် ထာဝရအသက်ကို ရရှိစေရန်၊ ငါသည် နောက်ဆုံးသောနေ့၌ သူတို့ကို ထမြောက်စေရမည်” (ယောဟန် ၆:၃၉၊ ၄၀) ဟု မိန့်တော်မူခဲ့သည်။
