Galatians 3:23-25

But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

၂၃ “သို့သော် ယုံကြည်ခြင်းမရောက်မီ၊ ငါတို့သည် တရားတော်အောက်၌ ချုပ်နှောင်ခံရ၍၊ နောက်မှ ထင်ရှားပေါ်လာရမည့် ယုံကြည်ခြင်းသို့ ပိတ်ထားခံရသတည်း။”
၂၄ “ထို့ကြောင့် တရားတော်သည် ငါတို့ကို ခရစ်တော်ထံသို့ ပို့ဆောင်သော ငါတို့၏ဆုံးမပဲ့ပြင်သူဖြစ်၍၊ ယုံကြည်ခြင်းအားဖြင့် ငါတို့သည် ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်မည်အကြောင်း ဖြစ်သတည်း။”
၂၅ “သို့သော် ယုံကြည်ခြင်းရောက်လာပြီးနောက်၊ ငါတို့သည် ဆုံးမပဲ့ပြင်သူအောက်၌ မရှိကြတော့သတည်း။”

 

 

Answer

Paul here is writing to the Gentiles. He is explaining the role of faith that comes to them. He in no way is suggesting that "faith" came after the law. He records in the book of Hebrews chapter 11 all those in the Old Testament that exercised faith. He begins with Abel, the first martyr, and ends with Samuel and the prophets. (See Hebrews 11.)He is explaining to them that the Jew, like himself, only thought salvation came by the deeds of the law, so they lived with an endless list of things to do in futility. However, when through the Holy Spirit they grasped this thing called “faith," they found relief from the toilsome burden of trying to save themselves. They then could see the ceremonial law as a tutor to lead then to the One that all those ceremonies really pointed to-Christ! So after accepting Christ, the ceremonial laws, completing their task, ended. (See Daniel 9:27 and Colossians 2:13-17.)

“ဤနေရာ၌ ပေါလုသည် တပါးအမျိုးသားများထံ စာရေးနေသည်။ သူသည် ၎င်းတို့ထံသို့ ရောက်လာသော ယုံကြည်ခြင်း၏ အခန်းကဏ္ဍကို ရှင်းပြနေသည်။ သူသည် ‘ယုံကြည်ခြင်း’ သည် တရားတော်ပြီးမှ ရောက်လာသည်ဟု မဆိုလိုပါ။ ဟေဗြဲအခန်းကြီး ၁၁ တွင် သူသည် ဓမ္မဟောင်းကျမ်း၌ ယုံကြည်ခြင်းကို ကျင့်သုံးခဲ့သူများအားလုံးကို မှတ်တမ်းတင်ထားသည်။ သူသည် ပထမဆုံးအာဇာနည် အာဗေလမှ စတင်ကာ၊ ရှမွေလနှင့် ပရောဖက်များဖြင့် အဆုံးသတ်သည်။ (ဟေဗြဲ ၁၁ ကို ကြည့်ပါ။) သူသည် ၎င်းတို့အား ရှင်းပြသည်မှာ၊ သူကဲ့သို့ ဂျူးလူမျိုးများသည် တရားတော်၏အကျင့်များအားဖြင့်သာ ကယ်တင်ခြင်းရရှိသည်ဟု ထင်မှတ်ခဲ့ကြပြီး၊ ထို့ကြောင့် ၎င်းတို့သည် အချည်းနှီးသော လုပ်စရာစာရင်းအဆုံးမဲ့ဖြင့် နေထိုင်ခဲ့ကြသည်။ သို့သော် ဝိညာဉ်တော်အားဖြင့် ‘ယုံကြည်ခြင်း’ ဟုခေါ်သောအရာကို ၎င်းတို့ နားလည်သဘောပေါက်သောအခါ၊ မိမိကိုယ်ကို ကယ်တင်ရန် ကြိုးစားရသည့် ပင်ပန်းနွမ်းနယ်သော ဝန်ထုပ်မှ သက်သာရာရခဲ့သည်။ ထို့နောက် ၎င်းတို့သည် အခမ်းအနားဆိုင်ရာ တရားတော်ကို ဆုံးမပဲ့ပြင်သူအဖြစ် မြင်နိုင်ခဲ့ပြီး၊ ထိုအခမ်းအနားများအားလုံးက အမှန်တကယ် ညွှန်ပြခဲ့သော ခရစ်တော်ထံသို့ ၎င်းတို့ကို ပို့ဆောင်ပေးခဲ့သည်။ ထို့ကြောင့် ခရစ်တော်ကို လက်ခံပြီးနောက်၊ အခမ်းအနားဆိုင်ရာ တရားတော်များသည် ၎င်းတို့၏အလုပ်တာဝန်ကို ပြီးစီးကာ အဆုံးသတ်သွားသည်။ (ဒံယေလ ၉:၂၇ နှင့် ကောလောသဲ ၂:၁၃-၁၇ ကို ကြည့်ပါ။)”
