အခန်း ၃၀—လူနှင့်စာတန်ကြားက ရန်ငြိုး

“သင်နှင့်မိန်းမ၌လည်းကောင်း၊ သင်၏အမျိုးအနွယ်နှင့်သူ၏အမျိုးအနွယ်၌လည်းကောင်း၊ ငါသည်ရန်ငြိုးကိုထားမည်။ သူသည်သင်၏ခေါင်းကိုကြိတ်လိမ့်မည်။ သင်သည်လည်း သူ၏ဖနောင့်ကိုကိုက်လိမ့်မည်။” ကမ္ဘာဦးကျမ်း ၃:၁၅။ လူသားတို့ ပျက်စီးပြီးနောက် စာတန်အပေါ် ဘုရားသခင်က ချမှတ်လိုက်သော ဤစီရင်ချက်သည် အနာဂတ်ကို ဟောကိန်းထုတ်ခြင်းလည်း ဖြစ်သည်။ ၎င်းတွင် အချိန်ကာလ၏အဆုံးထိ ရောက်ရှိမည့် ခေတ်ကာလအားလုံးပါဝင်ပြီး မြေကြီးပေါ်တွင် နေထိုင်ကြမည့် လူသားမျိုးနွယ်အားလုံး ပါဝင်ရမည့် ကြီးမားသော ပဋိပက္ခကို ကြိုတင်ဖော်ပြထားခြင်း ဖြစ်သည်။

God declares: “I will put enmity.” This enmity is not naturally entertained. When man transgressed the divine law, his nature became evil, and he was in harmony, and not at variance, with Satan. There exists naturally no enmity between sinful man and the originator of sin. Both became evil through apostasy. The apostate is never at rest, except as he obtains sympathy and support by inducing others to follow his example. For this reason fallen angels and wicked men unite in desperate companionship. Had not God specially interposed, Satan and man would have entered into an alliance against Heaven; and instead of cherishing enmity against Satan, the whole human family would have been united in opposition to God.

ဘုရားသခင်က “ငါသည် ရန်ငြိုးကို ထားမည်” ဟု မိန့်တော်မူသည်။ ဤရန်ငြိုးသည် သဘာဝအလျောက် ဖြစ်ပေါ်လာခြင်း မဟုတ်ပါ။ လူသားသည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ တရားတော်ကို ချိုးဖောက်သောအခါ သူ၏သဘောသဘာဝသည် ဆိုးသွမ်းလာပြီး စာတန်နှင့် ရန်သူမျိုးမဟုတ်ဘဲ သဟဇာတဖြစ်လာခဲ့သည်။ အပြစ်ရှိသော လူသားနှင့် အပြစ်၏ အရင်းအမြစ်ဖြစ်သော စာတန်တို့ကြားတွင် သဘာဝအလျောက် ရန်ငြိုးဟူ၍ မရှိပါ။ နှစ်ဦးစလုံးသည် သစ္စာဖောက်ခြင်းအားဖြင့် ဆိုးသွမ်းလာကြသည်။ သစ္စာဖောက်သူသည် အခြားသူများကို သူ၏ပုံသက်သေအတိုင်း လိုက်လုပ်စေခြင်းဖြင့် စာနာမှုနှင့် ထောက်ခံမှုကို မရရှိသရွေ့ စိတ်အေးချမ်းမှု မရှိပေ။ ဤအကြောင်းကြောင့် ပျက်စီးသွားသော ကောင်းကင်တမန်များနှင့် လူဆိုးများသည် အလွန်အမင်း ရင်းနှီးသော မိတ်ဖက်များအဖြစ် ပူးပေါင်းကြသည်။ ဘုရားသခင်သာ အထူးတလည် ကြားဝင်ဆောင်ရွက်ခြင်း မရှိပါက၊ စာတန်နှင့် လူသားတို့သည် ကောင်းကင်ဘုံကို ဆန့်ကျင်ရန် မဟာမိတ်ဖွဲ့ကြလိမ့်မည်။ စာတန်ကို ရန်ငြိုးထားမည့်အစား လူသားမျိုးနွယ်စု တစ်ခုလုံးသည် ဘုရားသခင်ကို ဆန့်ကျင်ရာတွင် ပူးပေါင်းမိကြလိမ့်မည်။

Satan tempted man to sin, as he had caused angels to rebel, that he might thus secure co-operation in his warfare against Heaven. There was no dissension between himself and the fallen angels as regards their hatred of Christ; while on all other points there was discord, they were firmly united in opposing the authority of the Ruler of the universe. But when Satan heard the declaration that enmity should exist between himself and the woman, and between his seed and her seed, he knew that his efforts to deprave human nature would be interrupted; that by some means man was to be enabled to resist his power.

စာတန်သည် ကောင်းကင်တမန်များကို ပုန်ကန်စေခဲ့သကဲ့သို့ပင် လူသားကိုလည်း အပြစ်ပြုရန် သွေးဆောင်ခဲ့သည်။ သို့မှသာ ကောင်းကင်ဘုံကို ဆန့်ကျင်သော သူ၏စစ်ပွဲတွင် ပူးပေါင်းမှုကို ရရှိနိုင်မည်ဖြစ်သည်။ ခရစ်တော်ကို မုန်းတီးခြင်းနှင့် ပတ်သက်၍ သူနှင့် ပျက်စီးသွားသော ကောင်းကင်တမန်များကြားတွင် သဘောထားကွဲလွဲမှု မရှိပေ။ အခြားသော အချက်အားလုံးတွင် သဘောထားကွဲလွဲမှုများ ရှိနေသော်လည်း စကြဝဠာ၏ အုပ်စိုးရှင်၏ အာဏာကို ဆန့်ကျင်ရာတွင် သူတို့သည် ခိုင်မာစွာ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်ကြသည်။ သို့သော် မိမိနှင့် မိန်းမကြား၊ မိမိ၏အမျိုးအနွယ်နှင့် သူ၏အမျိုးအနွယ်ကြားတွင် ရန်ငြိုးထားလိမ့်မည်ဟူသော ကြေညာချက်ကို စာတန်ကြားသောအခါ၊ လူသားသဘာဝကို ပျက်စီးစေရန် သူ၏ကြိုးပမ်းမှုများမှာ အနှောင့်အယှက်ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်ကိုလည်းကောင်း၊ တစ်နည်းနည်းဖြင့် လူသားသည် သူ၏အာဏာကို ပြန်လည်ခုခံနိုင်စွမ်းရှိလာတော့မည်ကိုလည်းကောင်း သူသိရှိသွားသည်။

Satan’s enmity against the human race is kindled because, through Christ, they are the objects of God’s love and mercy. He desires to thwart the divine plan for man’s redemption, to cast dishonor upon God, by defacing and defiling His handiwork; he would cause grief in heaven and fill the earth with woe and desolation. And he points to all this evil as the result of God’s work in creating man.

လူသားမျိုးနွယ်အပေါ် စာတန်၏ရန်ငြိုးသည် တောက်လောင်နေသည်။ အကြောင်းမှာ ခရစ်တော်အားဖြင့် လူသားတို့သည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ ချစ်ခြင်းမေတ္တာနှင့် ကရုဏာတော်ကို ခံယူရသော သူများ ဖြစ်သောကြောင့်ဖြစ်သည်။ သူသည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ ဖန်ဆင်းခြင်း လက်ရာကို ဖျက်ဆီးညစ်နွမ်းစေခြင်းဖြင့် ဘုရားသခင်၏ ကယ်တင်ခြင်း အစီအစဉ်ကို ပျက်ပြားစေရန်နှင့် ဘုရားသခင်ကို သိက္ခာချရန် ဆန္ဒရှိသည်။ သူသည် ကောင်းကင်ဘုံ၌ ဝမ်းနည်းခြင်းကို ဖြစ်စေပြီး မြေကြီးကို ဆင်းရဲဒုက္ခနှင့် ပျက်စီးခြင်းများဖြင့် ပြည့်နှက်စေလိုသည်။ ထို့ပြင် ဤဆိုးသွမ်းမှုအားလုံးကို ဘုရားသခင်က လူကို ဖန်ဆင်းခြင်း၏ ရလဒ်အဖြစ် သူက လက်ညှိုးထိုးပြသည်။

It is the grace that Christ implants in the soul which creates in man enmity against Satan. Without this converting grace and renewing power, man would continue the captive of Satan, a servant ever ready to do his bidding. But the new principle in the soul creates conflict where hitherto had been peace. The power which Christ imparts enables man to resist the tyrant and usurper. Whoever is seen to abhor sin instead of loving it, whoever resists and conquers those passions that have held sway within, displays the operation of a principle wholly from above.

The antagonism that exists between the spirit of Christ and the spirit of Satan was most strikingly displayed in the world’s reception of Jesus. It was not so much because He appeared without worldly wealth, pomp, or grandeur that the Jews were led to reject Him. They saw that He possessed power which would more than compensate for the lack of these outward advantages. But the purity and holiness of Christ called forth against Him the hatred of the ungoly. His life of self-denial and sinless devotion was a perpetual reproof to a proud, sensual people. It was this that evoked enmity against the Son of God. Satan and evil angels joined with evil men. All the energies of apostasy conspired against the Champion of truth.

ခရစ်တော်၏ ဝိညာဉ်တော်နှင့် စာတန်၏ ဝိညာဉ်တော်ကြားတွင် ရှိသော ဆန့်ကျင်ဘက် သဘောထားသည် လောကကြီးက ယေရှုကို လက်ခံပုံတွင် အထူးသဖြင့် ထင်ရှားသည်။ ယုဒလူမျိုးတို့က ကိုယ်တော်ကို ပယ်လိုက်ခြင်းမှာ လောကီစည်းစိမ်၊ ဂုဏ်ကျက်သရေ၊ ခမ်းနားမှုမရှိဘဲ ပေါ်လာသောကြောင့်သာ မဟုတ်ပေ။ ဤပြင်ပ အကျိုးကျေးဇူးများ ချို့တဲ့ခြင်းကို အဆပေါင်းများစွာ ပြန်လည်ဖြည့်ဆည်းပေးနိုင်သော တန်ခိုးတော်ကို ကိုယ်တော်၌ ရှိသည်ကို သူတို့ မြင်ခဲ့ကြသည်။ သို့သော် ခရစ်တော်၏ စင်ကြယ်ခြင်းနှင့် သန့်ရှင်းခြင်းတို့က ဘုရားမဲ့သူတို့၏ မုန်းတီးမှုကို ကိုယ်တော်အပေါ်သို့ ပေါ်ပေါက်လာစေသည်။ ကိုယ်တော်၏ ကိုယ်ကျိုးမငဲ့သော ဘဝနှင့် အပြစ်ကင်းစင်သော ဝတ်ပြုခြင်းသည် ဂုဏ်မာနကြီးပြီး အာရုံကာမ၌ ပျော်မွေ့သော လူမျိုးအတွက် အစဉ်သဖြင့် ဆုံးမစကားဖြစ်နေသည်။ ဤအချက်သည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ သားတော်အပေါ် ရန်ငြိုးကို ဖြစ်ပေါ်စေခဲ့သည်။ စာတန်နှင့် နတ်ဆိုးများသည် လူဆိုးများနှင့် ပူးပေါင်းခဲ့ကြသည်။ သစ္စာဖောက်ခြင်း၏ စွမ်းအားအားလုံးသည် သမ္မာတရား၏ ချန်ပီယံကို ဆန့်ကျင်ရန် ကြံစည်ခဲ့ကြသည်။

The same enmity is manifested toward Christ’s followers as was manifested toward their Master. Whoever sees the repulsive character of sin, and in strength from above resists temptation, will assuredly arouse the wrath of Satan and his subjects. Hatred of the pure principles of truth, and reproach and persecution of its advocates, will exist as long as sin and sinners remain. The followers of Christ and the servants of Satan cannot harmonize. The offense of the cross has not ceased. “All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” 2 Timothy 3:12.

ခရစ်တော်၏ တပည့်တော်များအပေါ် ပြသသည့် ရန်ငြိုးသည် ကိုယ်တော်၏သခင်အပေါ် ပြသခဲ့သည့် ရန်ငြိုးအတိုင်းပင် ဖြစ်သည်။ အပြစ်၏ စက်ဆုပ်ဖွယ်ကောင်းသော သဘောကို မြင်ပြီး အထက်အရပ်မှ ခွန်အားဖြင့် သွေးဆောင်မှုကို ခုခံသူတိုင်းသည် စာတန်နှင့် သူ၏နောက်လိုက်များ၏ ဒေါသကို သေချာပေါက် ဆွပေးလိမ့်မည်။ စင်ကြယ်သော သမ္မာတရား၏ အခြေခံမူများကို မုန်းတီးခြင်း၊ ထိုတရားကို ဟောပြောသူများကို ကဲ့ရဲ့ခြင်းနှင့် ညှဉ်းပန်းနှိပ်စက်ခြင်းတို့သည် အပြစ်နှင့် အပြစ်ရှိသူများ ရှိနေသမျှ ကာလပတ်လုံး ဆက်လက်ရှိနေမည်။ ခရစ်တော်၏ တပည့်တော်များနှင့် စာတန်၏ ကျွန်များသည် သဟဇာတမဖြစ်နိုင်ပါ။ လက်ဝါးကပ်တိုင်၏ အပြစ်တင်စရာမှာ မဆုံးသေးပါ။ “ခရစ်တော်ယေရှု၌ ဘုရားဝတ်၌ မွေ့လျော်ခြင်းရှိသည်အတိုင်း ကျင့်လိုသောသူအပေါင်းတို့သည် ညှဉ်းပန်းခြင်းကို ခံရကြလိမ့်မည်။” ၂ တိမောသေ ၃:၁၂။

Satan’s agents are constantly working under his direction to establish his authority and build up his kingdom in opposition to the government of God. To this end they seek to deceive Christ’s followers and allure them from their allegiance. Like their leader, they misconstrue and pervert the Scriptures to accomplish their object. As Satan endeavored to cast reproach upon God, so do his agents seek to malign God’s people. The spirit which put Christ to death moves the wicked to destroy His followers. All this is foreshadowed in that first prophecy: “I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed.” And this will continue to the close of time.

စာတန်၏ ကိုယ်စားလှယ်များသည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ အုပ်ချုပ်မှုကို ဆန့်ကျင်၍ သူ၏အာဏာကို တည်ထောင်ရန်နှင့် သူ၏နိုင်ငံကို တည်ဆောက်ရန် သူ၏ညွှန်ကြားချက်အောက်တွင် အစဉ်အမြဲ လုပ်ဆောင်နေကြသည်။ ဤရည်ရွယ်ချက်အတွက် သူတို့သည် ခရစ်တော်၏ တပည့်တော်များကို လှည့်ဖြားရန်နှင့် သစ္စာရှိမှုမှ လမ်းလွဲသွားစေရန် ကြိုးစားကြသည်။ သူတို့၏ ခေါင်းဆောင်ကဲ့သို့ပင် သူတို့၏ ရည်ရွယ်ချက်ကို အောင်မြင်စေရန် ကျမ်းစာကို အဓိပ္ပာယ်လွဲမှားအောင် ပြုလုပ်ပြီး ဖျက်ဆီးကြသည်။ စာတန်သည် ဘုရားသခင်ကို အပြစ်တင်ရန် ကြိုးစားခဲ့သကဲ့သို့ သူ၏ကိုယ်စားလှယ်များကလည်း ဘုရားသခင်၏ လူမျိုးတော်ကို အသရေဖျက်ရန် ကြိုးစားကြသည်။ ခရစ်တော်ကို သတ်စေသော ဝိညာဉ်သည် လူဆိုးများကို သူ၏တပည့်တော်များကို ဖျက်ဆီးရန် လှုံ့ဆော်ပေးသည်။ ဤအရာအားလုံးသည် ထိုရှေးဦးဟောကိန်းတွင် ကြိုတင်ပြထားပြီး ဖြစ်သည်။ “သင်နှင့်မိန်းမ၌လည်းကောင်း၊ သင်၏အမျိုးအနွယ်နှင့်သူ၏အမျိုးအနွယ်၌လည်းကောင်း၊ ငါသည်ရန်ငြိုးကိုထားမည်။” ဤအရာသည် အချိန်ကာလ၏အဆုံးထိ ဆက်လက်ရှိနေလိမ့်မည်။

Satan summons all his forces and throws his whole power into the combat. Why is it that he meets with no greater resistance? Why are the soldiers of Christ so sleepy and indifferent? Because they have so little real connection with Christ; because they are so destitute of His Spirit. Sin is not to them repulsive and abhorrent, as it was to their Master. They do not meet it, as did Christ, with decisive and determined resistance. They do not realize the exceeding evil and malignity of sin, and they are blinded both to the character and the power of the prince of darkness. There is little enmity against Satan and his works, because there is so great ignorance concerning his power and malice, and the vast extent of his warfare against Christ and His church. Multitudes are deluded here. They do not know that their enemy is a mighty general who controls the minds of evil angels, and that with well-matured plans and skillful movements he is warring against Christ to prevent the salvation of souls. Among professed Christians, and even among ministers of the gospel, there is heard scarcely a reference to Satan, except perhaps an incidental mention in the pulpit. They overlook the evidences of his continual activity and success; they neglect the many warnings of his subtlety; they neglect the many warnings of his subtlety; they seem to ignore his very existence.

စာတန်သည် သူ၏တပ်ဖွဲ့အားလုံးကို ခေါ်ယူပြီး သူ၏စွမ်းအား အားလုံးကို ထိုတိုက်ပွဲတွင် ပုံအောထားသည်။ အဘယ်ကြောင့် သူသည် ပိုမိုကြီးမားသော ခုခံမှုကို မကြုံတွေ့ရသနည်း။ အဘယ်ကြောင့် ခရစ်တော်၏ စစ်သည်တော်များသည် အိပ်ငိုက်ပြီး လျစ်လျူရှုနေကြသနည်း။ အကြောင်းမှာ သူတို့သည် ခရစ်တော်နှင့် အစစ်အမှန် ဆက်သွယ်မှု နည်းပါးခြင်းကြောင့် ဖြစ်သည်။ သူ၏ဝိညာဉ်တော်နှင့် ကင်းမဲ့နေခြင်းကြောင့် ဖြစ်သည်။ သူတို့အတွက် အပြစ်သည် သူတို့၏သခင်အတွက်ကဲ့သို့ စက်ဆုပ်ဖွယ်နှင့် ရွံရှာဖွယ် မဟုတ်ပါ။ သူတို့သည် ခရစ်တော်ကဲ့သို့ အပြစ်ကို ပြတ်သားပြီး ဆုံးဖြတ်ချက်ခိုင်မာစွာဖြင့် မခုခံကြပါ။ အပြစ်၏ လွန်ကဲသော ဆိုးသွမ်းမှုနှင့် အန္တရာယ်ကို သူတို့ နားမလည်ကြဘဲ မှောင်မိုက်ခြင်း၏ မင်းသား၏ သဘောသဘာဝနှင့် တန်ခိုးကိုလည်း မမြင်နိုင်အောင် မျက်စိကန်းနေကြသည်။ စာတန်နှင့် သူ၏လုပ်ရပ်များကို ရန်ငြိုးမထားကြခြင်းမှာ သူ၏တန်ခိုးနှင့် အန္တရာယ်၊ ခရစ်တော်နှင့် အသင်းတော်အပေါ် သူ၏စစ်ပွဲ၏ ကျယ်ပြန့်မှုအကြောင်းကို များစွာ မသိနားမလည်ခြင်းကြောင့် ဖြစ်သည်။ လူအများအပြားသည် ဤနေရာတွင် လှည့်ဖြားခံနေရသည်။ သူတို့၏ ရန်သူသည် နတ်ဆိုးများ၏ စိတ်ကို ထိန်းချုပ်ထားသော အားကောင်းသည့် စစ်သူကြီး ဖြစ်ကြောင်းနှင့် ကောင်းမွန်စွာ ပြင်ဆင်ထားသည့် အစီအစဉ်များ၊ ကျွမ်းကျင်သော လှုပ်ရှားမှုများဖြင့် ဝိညာဉ်များကို ကယ်တင်ခြင်း မရရှိစေရန် ခရစ်တော်ကို ဆန့်ကျင်၍ စစ်တိုက်နေကြောင်း သူတို့ မသိကြပါ။ ခရစ်တော်ကို ဝန်ခံသော သူများကြားတွင်၊ ခရစ်တော်၏ ဧဝံဂေလိတရားကို ဟောပြောသော သင်းအုပ်ဆရာများကြားတွင်ပင် စာတန်အကြောင်း ရည်ညွှန်းပြောဆိုမှုမှာ တရားဟောစင်ပေါ်တွင် ခပ်ဖျတ်ဖျတ် ပြောမိသည်မှလွဲ၍ မကြားရသလောက်ပင် ဖြစ်သည်။ သူတို့သည် စာတန်၏ စဉ်ဆက်မပြတ် လုပ်ဆောင်မှုနှင့် အောင်မြင်မှု သက်သေများကို လျစ်လျူရှုကြသည်။ သူ၏ လှည့်ဖြားမှုများအကြောင်း သတိပေးချက်များကို လျစ်လျူရှုကြသည်။ သူ၏ တည်ရှိမှုပင်လျှင် မရှိသယောင် ပြုမူနေကြသည်။

While men are ignorant of his devices, this vigilant foe is upon their track every moment. He is intruding his presence in every department of the household, in every street of our cities, in the churches, in the national councils, in the courts of justice, perplexing, deceiving, seducing, everywhere ruining the souls and bodies of men, women, and children, breaking up families, sowing hatred, emulation, strife, sedition, murder. And the Christian world seem to regard these things as though God had acted them and they must exist.

Satan is continually seeking to overcome the people of God by breaking down the barriers which separate them from the world. Ancient Israel were enticed into sin when they ventured into forbidden association with the heathen. In a similar manner are modern Israel led astray. “The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2 Corinthians 4:4. All who are not decided followers of Christ are servants of Satan. In the unregenerate heart there is love of sin and a disposition to cherish and excuse it. In the renewed heart there is hatred of sin and determined resistance against it. When Christians choose the society of the ungodly and unbelieving, they expose themselves to temptation. Satan conceals himself from view and stealthily draws his deceptive covering over their eyes. They cannot see that such company is calculated to do them harm; and while all the time assimilating to the world in character, words, and actions, they are becoming more and more blinded.

Conformity to worldly customs converts the church to the world; it never converts the world to Christ. Familiarity with sin will inevitably cause it to appear less repulsive. He who chooses to associate with the servants of Satan will soon cease to fear their master. When in the way of duty we are brought into trial, as was Daniel in the king’s court, we may be sure that God will protect us; but if we place ourselves under temptation, we shall fall sooner or later.

The tempter often works most successfully through those who are least suspected of being under his control. The possessors of talent and education are admired and honored, as if these qualities could atone for the absence of the fear of God or entitle men to His favor. Talent and culture, considered in themselves, are gifts of God; but when these are made to supply the place of piety, when, instead of bringing the soul nearer to God, they lead away from Him, then they become a curse and a snare. The opinion prevails with many that all which appears like courtesy or refinement must, in some sense, pertain to Christ. Never was there a greater mistake. These qualities should grace the character of every Christian, for they would exert a powerful influence in favor of true religion; but they must be consecrated to God, or they also are a power for evil. Many a man of cultured intellect and pleasant manners, who would not stoop to what is commonly regarded as an immoral act, is but a polished instrument in the hands of Satan. The insidious, deceptive character of his influence and example renders him a more dangerous enemy to the cause of Christ than are those who are ignorant and uncultured.

By earnest prayer and dependence upon God, Solomon obtained the wisdom which excited the wonder and admiration of the world. But when he turned from the Source of his strength, and went forward relying upon himself, he fell a prey to temptation. Then the marvelous powers bestowed on this wisest of kings only rendered him a more effective agent of the adversary of souls.

While Satan is constantly seeking to blind their minds to the fact, let Christians never forget that they “wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against wicked spirits in high places.” Ephesians 6:12, margin. The inspired warning is sounding down the centuries to our time: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” 1 Peter 5:8. “Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11.

From the days of Adam to our own time, our great enemy has been exercising his power to oppress and destroy. He is now preparing for his last campaign against the church. All who seek to follow Jesus will be brought into conflict with this relentless foe. The more nearly the Christian imitates the divine Pattern, the more surely will he make himself a mark for the attacks of Satan. All who are actively engaged in the cause of God, seeking to unveil the deceptions of the evil one and to present Christ before the people, will be able to join in the testimony of Paul, in which he speaks of serving the Lord with all humility of mind, with many tears and temptations.

Satan assailed Christ with his fiercest and most subtle temptations, but he was repulsed in every conflict. Those battles were fought in our behalf; those victories make it possible for us to conquer. Christ will give strength to all who seek it. No man without his own consent can be overcome by Satan. The tempter has no power to control the will or to force the soul to sin. He may distress, but he cannot contaminate. He can cause agony, but not defilement. The fact that Christ has conquered should inspire His followers with courage to fight manfully the battle against sin and Satan.

စာတန်သည် ခရစ်တော်ကို သူ၏အပြင်းထန်ဆုံးနှင့် အယုတ်မာဆုံးသော သွေးဆောင်မှုများဖြင့် တိုက်ခိုက်ခဲ့သော်လည်း တိုက်ပွဲတိုင်းတွင် သူပြန်လည်တွန်းလှန်ခြင်း ခံခဲ့ရသည်။ ထိုတိုက်ပွဲများသည် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့အတွက် တိုက်ခိုက်ခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။ ထိုအောင်ပွဲများသည် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကို အောင်မြင်ရန် ဖြစ်နိုင်ခြေရှိစေသည်။ ခရစ်တော်သည် ရှာဖွေသူတိုင်းကို ခွန်အားပေးလိမ့်မည်။ မည်သူမဆို မိမိသဘောတူညီမှုမရှိဘဲ စာတန်၏ အနိုင်ယူခြင်းကို မခံရနိုင်ပါ။ သွေးဆောင်သူသည် အလိုဆန္ဒကို ထိန်းချုပ်ရန် သို့မဟုတ် ဝိညာဉ်ကို အပြစ်ပြုရန် အတင်းအကျပ် ခိုင်းစေရန် တန်ခိုးမရှိပါ။ သူသည် စိတ်ဆင်းရဲစေနိုင်သော်လည်း ညစ်ညူးစေနိုင်မည်မဟုတ်ပါ။ သူသည် ဝေဒနာကို ဖြစ်စေနိုင်သော်လည်း အပြစ်ကို မဖြစ်စေနိုင်ပါ။ ခရစ်တော် အောင်မြင်ခဲ့သည်ဟူသော အချက်သည် သူ၏နောက်လိုက်များကို အပြစ်နှင့် စာတန်ကို ဆန့်ကျင်သည့် တိုက်ပွဲကို ရဲရင့်စွာ တိုက်ခိုက်ရန် ရဲစွမ်းသတ္တိကို ပေးစွမ်းသင့်သည်။
