[103] Chapter 11—The Gospel in Samaria

ဤအခန်းသည် တမန်တော်ဝတ္ထု အခန်းကြီး ၈ ကို အခြေခံထားပါသည်။

This chapter is based on Acts 8.

After the death of Stephen there arose against the believers in
Jerusalem a persecution so relentless that “they were all scattered
abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria.” Saul “made
havoc of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and
women committed them to prison.” Of his zeal in this cruel work
he said at a later date: “I verily thought with myself, that I ought to
do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth. Which
thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut
up in prison.... And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and
compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against
them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.” That Stephen was
not the only one who suffered death may be seen from Saul’s own
words, “And when they were put to death, I gave my voice against
them.” Acts 26:9-11.

[104] At this time of peril Nicodemus came forward in fearless avowal
of his faith in the crucifed Saviour. Nicodemus was a member of
the Sanhedrin and with others had been stirred by the teaching of
Jesus. As he had witnessed Christ’s wonderful works, the conviction
had fastened itself upon his mind that this was the Sent of God. Too
proud openly to acknowledge himself in sympathy with the Galilean
Teacher, he had sought a secret interview. In this interview Jesus
had unfolded to him the plan of salvation and His mission to the
world, yet still Nicodemus had hesitated. He hid the truth in his
heart, and for three years there was little apparent fruit. But while
Nicodemus had not publicly acknowledged Christ, he had in the
Sanhedrin council repeatedly thwarted the schemes of the priests to
destroy Him. When at last Christ had been lifted up on the cross,
Nicodemus remembered the words that He had spoken to him in
the night interview on the Mount of Olives, “As Moses lifted up the

serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up”
(John 3:14); and he saw in Jesus the world’s Redeemer.

With Joseph of Arimathea, Nicodemus had borne the expense of
the burial of Jesus. The disciples had been afraid to show themselves
openly as Christ’s followers, but Nicodemus and Joseph had come
boldly to their aid. The help of these rich and honored men was
greatly needed in that hour of darkness. They had been able to do
for their dead Master what it would have been impossible for the
poor disciples to do; and their wealth and influence had protected
them, in a great measure, from the malice of the priests and rulers.
Now, when the Jews were trying to destroy the infant church, [105]
Nicodemus came forward in its defense. No longer cautious and
questioning, he encouraged the faith of the disciples and used his
wealth in helping to sustain the church at Jerusalem and in advancing
the work of the gospel. Those who in other days had paid him
reverence, now scorned and persecuted him, and he became poor in
this world’s goods; yet he faltered not in the defense of his faith.

The persecution that came upon the church in Jerusalem resulted
in giving a great impetus to the work of the gospel. Success had
attended the ministry of the word in that place, and there was danger
that the disciples would linger there too long, unmindful of the
Saviour’s commission to go to all the world. Forgetting that strength
to resist evil is best gained by aggressive service, they began to think
that they had no work so important as that of shielding the church in
Jerusalem from the attacks of the enemy. Instead of educating the
new converts to carry the gospel to those who had not heard it, they
were in danger of taking a course that would lead all to be satisfed
with what had been accomplished. To scatter His representatives
abroad, where they could work for others, God permitted persecution
to come upon them. Driven from Jerusalem, the believers “went
everywhere preaching the word.”

Among those to whom the Saviour had given the commission,
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations” (Matthew 28:19), were many
from the humbler walks of life—men and women who had learned
to love their Lord and who had determined to follow His example
of unselfsh service. To these lowly ones, as well as to the disciples [106]
who had been with the Saviour during His earthly ministry, had been

given a precious trust. They were to carry to the world the glad
tidings of salvation through Christ.

When they were scattered by persecution they went forth flled
with missionary zeal. They realized the responsibility of their mission. They knew that they held in their hands the bread of life for a
famishing world; and they were constrained by the love of Christ to
break this bread to all who were in need. The Lord wrought through
them. Wherever they went, the sick were healed and the poor had
the gospel preached unto them.

ဓမ္မထောက် (၇) ပါးထဲမှ တစ်ဦးဖြစ်သူ ဖိလိပ္ပုသည် ယေရုရှလင်မြို့မှ နှင်ထုတ်ခံရသူများထဲတွင် ပါဝင်သည်။ သူသည် “ရှမာရိမြို့သို့ သွား၍ ခရစ်တော်၏ အကြောင်းကို ဟောပြောလေ၏။ လူအစုအဝေးတို့သည် ဖိလိပ္ပုဟောပြောသော စကားကို ကြား၍၎င်း၊ ပြုသော နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာတို့ကို မြင်၍၎င်း၊ တစ်ညီတစ်ညွတ်တည်း နားထောင်ကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား ညစ်ညူးသော နားဝင်သောသူ အများတို့ထံမှ ထိုနားတို့သည်... ထွက်သွားကြ၏။ လေဖြတ်သောသူ၊ ခြေမစွမ်းသောသူ အများတို့သည်လည်း ချမ်းသာရကြ၏။ ထိုမြို့၌ အလွန်ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်း ရှိလေ၏။”

Philip, one of the seven deacons, was among those driven from
Jerusalem. He “went down to the city of Samaria, and preached
Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto
those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles
which he did. For unclean spirits ... came out of many that were
possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were
lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city.”

Christ’s message to the Samaritan woman with whom He had
talked at Jacob’s well had borne fruit. After listening to His words,
the woman had gone to the men of the city, saying, “Come, see a
man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?”
They went with her, heard Jesus, and believed on Him. Anxious to
hear more, they begged Him to remain. For two days He stayed with
them, “and many more believed because of His own word.” John
4:29, 41.

 

တပည့်တော်များသည် ယေရုရှလင်မြို့မှ နှင်ထုတ်ခံရသောအခါ၊ အချို့တို့သည် ရှမာရိပြည်တွင် ဘေးကင်းရာ ခိုလှုံရာကို ရှာတွေ့ခဲ့ကြသည်။ ရှမာရိလူတို့သည် ထိုဧဝံဂေလိ သံတမန်များကို ကြိုဆိုခဲ့ကြပြီး၊ ယုဒယုံကြည်သူများသည် တစ်ချိန်က မိမိတို့၏ အခါးသီးဆုံး ရန်သူများဖြစ်ခဲ့သူများထံမှ အဖိုးတန်သော ရိတ်သိမ်းခြင်းကို ရရှိခဲ့ကြသည်။ ဖိလိပ္ပု၏ ရှမာရိပြည်မှ အလုပ်သည် ကြီးမားသော အောင်မြင်မှုများ ရရှိခဲ့သဖြင့် သူသည် အားတက်ကာ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့သို့ အကူအညီ တောင်းခံခဲ့သည်။ “သင်တို့သည် ယေရုရှလင်မြို့၌၎င်း၊ ယုဒပြည်အရပ်ရပ်၊ ရှမာရိပြည်အရပ်ရပ်၌၎င်း၊ မြေကြီးစွန်းတိုင်အောင် ငါ၏သက်သေ ဖြစ်ကြလိမ့်မည်” (တမန်တော် ၁:၈) ဟူသော ခရစ်တော်၏ စကားများ၏ အဓိပ္ပာယ်ကို တမန်တော်တို့သည် ယခုအခါ ပိုမိုပြည့်စုံစွာ နားလည်လာကြသည်။

And when His disciples were driven from Jerusalem, some found in Samaria a safe asylum. The Samaritans welcomed these mes

sengers of the gospel, and the Jewish converts gathered a precious
harvest from among those who had once been their bitterest enemies.
Philip’s work in Samaria was marked with great success, and,
thus encouraged, he sent to Jerusalem for help. The apostles now
perceived more fully the meaning of the words of Christ, “Ye shall
be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in
Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8.

While Philip was still in Samaria, he was directed by a heavenly
messenger to “go toward the south unto the way that goeth down
from Jerusalem unto Gaza.... And he arose and went.” He did not
question the call, nor did he hesitate to obey; for he had learned the

“ထိုအခါ အဲသယောပိပြည်ကို အစိုးရသော ကန္ဒကေမိဖုရား၏ အမတ်ဖြစ်၍၊ မိဖုရား၏ ဘဏ္ဍာရှိသမျှကို အုပ်စိုးသော မိန်းမစိုးတစ်ဦးသည် ကိုးကွယ်ခြင်းငှာ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့သို့ သွား၍၊ ပြန်လာစဉ် မိမိရထားပေါ်၌ ထိုင်လျက် ပရောဖက် ဟေရှာယ၏ ကျမ်းစာကို ဖတ်လေ၏။” ဤအဲသယောပိလူသည် ရာထူးဂုဏ်သိန်ရှိပြီး ဩဇာအာဏာ ကြီးမားသူဖြစ်သည်။ သူသည် ဘာသာပြောင်းလဲသွားသောအခါ မိမိရရှိထားသော အလင်းကို အခြားသူများအား ပြန်လည်ဝေငှပြီး ဧဝံဂေလိတရားအတွက် အားကောင်းသော ဩဇာလွှမ်းမိုးမှု ပေးနိုင်မည်ကို ဘုရားသခင် မြင်တော်မူ၏။ ဘုရားသခင်၏ ကောင်းကင်တမန်များသည် အလင်းရှာဖွေသူ ဤသူနှင့်အတူ ရှိနေခဲ့ပြီး၊ သူသည် ကယ်တင်ရှင်ထံသို့ ဆွဲဆောင်ခြင်း ခံနေရသည်။ သန့်ရှင်းသော ဝိညာဉ်တော်၏ အမှုဆောင်ခြင်းအားဖြင့် ဘုရားသခင်သည် သူ့ကို အလင်းသို့ ပို့ဆောင်ပေးနိုင်မည့်သူနှင့် ဆက်သွယ်ပေးခဲ့သည်။

“And, behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority
under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her
treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, was returning,
and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.” This Ethiopian
was a man of good standing and of wide influence. God saw that
when converted he would give others the light he had received and
would exert a strong influence in favor of the gospel. Angels of God
were attending this seeker for light, and he was being drawn to the
Saviour. By the ministration of the Holy Spirit the Lord brought him
into touch with one who could lead him to the light.

ဖိလိပ္ပုသည် ထိုအဲသယောပိလူထံသို့ သွား၍ သူဖတ်နေသော ပရောဖက်ပြုချက်ကို ရှင်းပြရန် ညွှန်ကြားခံရသည်။ “ဝိညာဉ်တော်ကလည်း၊ ထိုရထားသို့ ချဉ်းကပ်၍ မှီလော့ဟု ဖိလိပ္ပုအား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။” ဖိလိပ္ပုသည် အနားသို့ ချဉ်းကပ်သောအခါ “သင်ဖတ်သောအရာကို နားလည်ပါ၏လောဟု မေးလျှင်၊ ထိုသူကလည်း၊ လမ်းပြမည့်သူမရှိလျှင် အဘယ်သို့ နားလည်နိုင်မည်နည်းဟု ဆိုလျက် မိမိနှင့်အတူ ထိုင်နေခြင်းငှာ ဖိလိပ္ပုကို တောင်းပန်လေ၏။” သူဖတ်နေသော ကျမ်းချက်မှာ ခရစ်တော်နှင့် ပတ်သက်သည့် ဟေရှာယပရောဖက်ကျမ်း ဖြစ်သည် - “သူသည် သတ်ရန် ဆွဲယူခြင်းကို ခံသော သိုးကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်၏။ သိုးငယ်သည် သိုးမွေးညှပ်သောသူ ရှေ့၌ တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာ နေသကဲ့သို့၊ သူသည် မိမိနှုတ်ကို မဖွင့်ဘဲ နေ၏။ နှိမ့်ချခြင်းကို ခံစဉ်အခါ တရားစီရင်ခြင်းကို ခံရ၏။ သူ၏ အမျိုးအနွယ်ကို အဘယ်သူ ပြသနိုင်မည်နည်း။ သူ၏ အသက်ကို မြေကြီးမှ ရုပ်သိမ်းလေပြီ။”

Philip was directed to go to the Ethiopian and explain to him the
prophecy that he was reading. “Go near,” the Spirit said, “and join [108]
thyself to this chariot.” As Philip drew near, he asked the eunuch,
“Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I,
except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he
would come up and sit with him.” The scripture that he was reading
was the prophecy of Isaiah relating to Christ: “He was led as a sheep
to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened
He not His mouth: in His humiliation His judgment was taken away:
and who shall declare His generation? for His life is taken from the
earth.”

မိန်းမစိုးကလည်း “ဤသို့ ပရောဖက်သည် အဘယ်သူကို ရည်မှတ်၍ ဆိုပါသနည်း။ ကိုယ်ကို ရည်မှတ်၍ ဆိုပါသနည်း။ အခြားသောသူကို ရည်မှတ်၍ ဆိုပါသနည်း” ဟု ဖိလိပ္ပုကို မေးမြန်းလေ၏။ ထိုအခါ ဖိလိပ္ပုသည် ကယ်တင်ခြင်းဆိုင်ရာ ကြီးမြတ်သော အမှန်တရားကို ဖွင့်ပြခဲ့သည်။ ထိုကျမ်းချက်မှစတင်၍ သူသည် “ယေရှု၏ အကြောင်းကို ဟောပြောလေ၏။”

“Of whom speaketh the prophet this?” the eunuch asked, “of
himself, or of some other man?” Then Philip opened to him the great
truth of redemption. Beginning at the same scripture, he “preached
unto him Jesus.”

ကျမ်းစာကို ရှင်းပြသောအခါ ထိုသူ၏ နှလုံးသားသည် စိတ်ဝင်စားမှုဖြင့် လှုပ်ရှားလာသည်။ တပည့်တော် ရှင်းပြပြီးသောအခါ သူသည် ပေးအပ်ထားသော အလင်းကို လက်ခံရန် အသင့်ဖြစ်နေပြီ။ သူသည် မိမိ၏ မြင့်မြတ်သော လောကီရာထူးကို ဧဝံဂေလိတရားကို ငြင်းပယ်ရန် အကြောင်းပြချက်အဖြစ် မသုံးခဲ့ပေ။ “လမ်း၌ သွားကြစဉ် ရေရှိရာ အရပ်သို့ ရောက်လျှင်၊ မိန်းမစိုးကလည်း၊ ဤမှာ ရေရှိပါ၏။ ကျွန်ုပ်သည် ဗတ္တိဇံကို ခံအံ့သောငှာ အဘယ်သို့ ဆီးတားရန် ရှိပါသနည်းဟု ဆိုလေသော်၊ ဖိလိပ္ပုကလည်း၊ သင်သည် စိတ်နှလုံးအကြွင်းမဲ့ ယုံကြည်လျှင် ခံရသည်ဟု ဆိုလျှင်၊ ထိုသူကလည်း၊ ယေရှုခရစ်သည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ သားတော်ဖြစ်တော်မူသည်ကို ကျွန်ုပ်ယုံကြည်ပါသည်ဟု ပြန်ပြောလေ၏။ ထိုအခါ ရထားကို ရပ်စေခြင်းငှာ စီရင်၍၊ ဖိလိပ္ပုနှင့် မိန်းမစိုး နှစ်ယောက်တို့သည် ရေထဲသို့ ဆင်းကြ၍၊ ဖိလိပ္ပုသည် ဗတ္တိဇံကို ပေးလေ၏။”

The man’s heart thrilled with interest as the Scriptures were
explained to him; and when the disciple had fnished, he was ready
to accept the light given. He did not make his high worldly position
an excuse for refusing the gospel. “As they went on their way,
they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is
water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If
thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered
and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he
commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into
the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

“ရေထဲမှ တက်ကြသောအခါ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ဝိညာဉ်တော်သည် ဖိလိပ္ပုကို ချီဆောင်တော်မူသဖြင့် မိန်းမစိုးသည် နောက်တစ်ဖန် သူ့ကို မမြင်ရ။ ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းနှင့် မိမိလမ်းသို့ သွားလေ၏။ ဖိလိပ္ပုကိုမူကား အာဇုတ်မြို့၌ တွေ့ရ၏။ ထိုမှတစ်ဆင့် သွားလျက် ကဲသရိမြို့သို့ မရောက်မီတိုင်အောင် မြို့ရွာရှိသမျှတို့၌ ဧဝံဂေလိတရားကို ဟောပြောလေ၏။”

“And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of
the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more:
and he went on his way rejoicing. But Philip was found at Azotus: [109]

and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to
Caesarea.”

ဤအဲသယောပိလူသည် ဖိလိပ္ပုကဲ့သို့သော သာသနာပြုများ၏ သွန်သင်မှုကို လိုအပ်နေသော လူတန်းစားအမြောက်အမြားကို ကိုယ်စားပြုသည်။ ထိုသာသနာပြုများသည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ အသံကို နားထောင်ပြီး ကိုယ်တော်စေခွှတ်ရာသို့ သွားမည့်သူများ ဖြစ်ကြသည်။ ကျမ်းစာဖတ်နေသော်လည်း ၎င်း၏ စစ်မှန်သော အဓိပ္ပာယ်ကို နားမလည်နိုင်သောသူ အများအပြား ရှိသည်။ တစ်လောကလုံးရှိ ယောက်ျား မိန်းမတို့သည် ကောင်းကင်သို့ တမ်းတစွာ မျှော်ကြည့်နေကြသည်။ အလင်း၊ ကျေးဇူးတော်နှင့် သန့်ရှင်းသော ဝိညာဉ်တော်ကို တောင့်တနေသော ဝိညာဉ်များထံမှ ဆုတောင်းသံ၊ မျက်ရည်နှင့် မေးမြန်းသံများ ထွက်ပေါ်နေသည်။ အများစုမှာ ဘုရားသခင်၏ နိုင်ငံတော် အနားစွန်းတွင် ရောက်ရှိနေကြပြီး စုသိမ်းခြင်းကိုသာ စောင့်ဆိုင်းနေကြသည်။

This Ethiopian represented a large class who need to be taught
by such missionaries as Philip—men who will hear the voice of God
and go where He sends them. There are many who are reading the
Scriptures who cannot understand their true import. All over the
world men and women are looking wistfully to heaven. Prayers and
tears and inquiries go up from souls longing for light, for grace, for
the Holy Spirit. Many are on the verge of the kingdom, waiting only
to be gathered in.

ကောင်းကင်တမန်တစ်ပါးသည် အလင်းရှာဖွေနေပြီး ဧဝံဂေလိတရားကို လက်ခံရန် အသင့်ဖြစ်နေသူထံသို့ ဖိလိပ္ပုကို လမ်းပြခဲ့သည်။ ယနေ့တွင်လည်း မိမိတို့၏ လျှာကို သန့်ရှင်းစေပြီး မိမိတို့၏ နှလုံးသားကို သန့်စင် မြင့်မြတ်စေရန် သန့်ရှင်းသော ဝိညာဉ်တော်ကို ခွင့်ပြုသော အလုပ်သမားများ၏ ခြေလှမ်းများကို ကောင်းကင်တမန်များက လမ်းပြပေးမည် ဖြစ်သည်။ ဖိလိပ္ပုထံ စေလွှတ်သော ကောင်းကင်တမန်သည် အဲသယောပိလူအတွက် ထိုအလုပ်ကို ကိုယ်တိုင် လုပ်ဆောင်ပေးနိုင်သော်လည်း၊ ၎င်းသည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ အလုပ်လုပ်ပုံ မဟုတ်ပေ။ လူသားသည် မိမိ၏ လူသားချင်းအတွက် အလုပ်လုပ်ရန်မှာ ကိုယ်တော်၏ စီမံကိန်း ဖြစ်သည်။

An angel guided Philip to the one who was seeking for light and
who was ready to receive the gospel, and today angels will guide the
footsteps of those workers who will allow the Holy Spirit to sanctify
their tongues and refne and ennoble their hearts. The angel sent to
Philip could himself have done the work for the Ethiopian, but this
is not God’s way of working. It is His plan that men are to work for
their fellow men.

ပထမဆုံး တပည့်တော်များအား ပေးအပ်ခဲ့သော တာဝန်တွင် ခေတ်အဆက်ဆက်ရှိ ယုံကြည်သူများလည်း ပါဝင်ကြသည်။ ဧဝံဂေလိတရားကို လက်ခံရရှိသူတိုင်းသည် ကမ္ဘာလောကသို့ ဝေငှရန် သန့်ရှင်းသော အမှန်တရားကို ရရှိထားကြသည်။ ဘုရားသခင်၏ သစ္စာရှိသော လူမျိုးတော်သည် အမြဲတမ်း တက်ကြွသော သာသနာပြုများ ဖြစ်ခဲ့ကြပြီး၊ ကိုယ်တော်၏ နာမတော် ဂုဏ်ပြုရန်အတွက် မိမိတို့၏ အရင်းအမြစ်များကို ဆက်ကပ်ကာ၊ မိမိတို့၏ ပါရမီများကို ကိုယ်တော်၏ အမှုတော်၌ ပညာရှိစွာ အသုံးပြုခဲ့ကြသည်။

In the trust given to the frst disciples, believers in every age have
shared. Everyone who has received the gospel has been given sacred
truth to impart to the world. God’s faithful people have always been
aggressive missionaries, consecrating their resources to the honor of
His name and wisely using their talents in His service.

အတိတ်ကာလမှ ခရစ်ယာန်များ၏ အတ္တကင်းသော အလုပ်သည် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့အတွက် သင်ခန်းစာနှင့် ခွန်အား ဖြစ်စေသင့်သည်။ ဘုရားသခင်၏ အသင်းတော်ဝင်များသည် ကောင်းသောအမှု၌ စိတ်အားထက်သန်ကြရမည်၊ လောကီရည်မှန်းချက်များမှ ခွဲထွက်ကာ၊ ကောင်းသောအမှုကို ပြုလျက် လှည့်လည်သွားလာခဲ့သော ကိုယ်တော်၏ ခြေရာကို လိုက်လျှောက်ကြရမည်။ ကိုယ်ချင်းစာစိတ်နှင့် ကရုဏာစိတ် အပြည့်ဖြင့် အကူအညီ လိုအပ်နေသူများကို အမှုဆောင်ကြရမည်၊ အပြစ်သားများထံသို့ ကယ်တင်ရှင်၏ မေတ္တာတော် အသိပညာကို ယူဆောင်လာကြရမည်။ ထိုသို့သော အလုပ်သည် ကြိုးစားအားထုတ်မှု လိုအပ်သော်လည်း ကြီးမားသော ဆုလာဘ်ကို ပေးသည်။ စိတ်ရင်းမှန်ဖြင့် ထိုအလုပ်၌ ပါဝင်သူများသည် ဝိညာဉ်များကို ကယ်တင်ရှင်ထံသို့ ရရှိသည်ကို မြင်တွေ့ရလိမ့်မည်။ အကြောင်းမှာ ဘုရားသခင်၏ စေခိုင်းချက်ကို လက်တွေ့လုပ်ဆောင်ခြင်း၌ ပါဝင်သော ဩဇာအာဏာကို မည်သူမျှ မတားဆီးနိုင်သောကြောင့် ဖြစ်သည်။

The unselfsh labor of Christians in the past should be to us an
object lesson and an inspiration. The members of God’s church are
to be zealous of good works, separating from worldly ambition and
[110] walking in the footsteps of Him who went about doing good. With
hearts flled with sympathy and compassion, they are to minister
to those in need of help, bringing to sinners a knowledge of the
Saviour’s love. Such work calls for laborious effort, but it brings
a rich reward. Those who engage in it with sincerity of purpose
will see souls won to the Saviour, for the influence that attends the
practical carrying out of the divine commission is irresistible.

ဤစေခိုင်းချက်ကို ပြည့်စုံစေရန် ထွက်ခွာသွားရမည့် တာဝန်သည် သိက္ခာတော်ရ ဆရာတော်များအပေါ်၌သာ တည်ရှိသည်မဟုတ်။ ခရစ်တော်ကို လက်ခံရရှိသူတိုင်းသည် မိမိတို့၏ လူသားချင်း ကယ်တင်ခြင်းအတွက် အလုပ်လုပ်ရန် ခေါ်ယူခြင်း ခံရသည်။ “ဝိညာဉ်တော်နှင့် မင်္ဂလာဆောင်သတို့သမီးက၊ လာခဲ့ပါဟု ဆိုကြ၏။ ကြားသောသူကလည်း၊ လာခဲ့ပါဟု ဆိုပါစေ။” ဗျာဒိတ် ၂၂:၁၇။ ဤဖိတ်ခေါ်ချက်ကို ပေးရန် တာဝန်သည် အသင်းတော် တစ်ခုလုံးတွင် ပါဝင်သည်။ ဖိတ်ခေါ်ချက်ကို ကြားရသူတိုင်းသည် တောင်ကုန်း တောင်ကြားများမှနေ၍ “လာခဲ့ပါ” ဟူသော သတင်းစကားကို ပဲ့တင်ထပ်စေရမည်။

Not upon the ordained minister only rests the responsibility of
going forth to fulfll this commission. Everyone who has received
Christ is called to work for the salvation of his fellow men. “The
Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come.”
Revelation 22:17. The charge to give this invitation includes the
Gospel in Samaria 75
entire church. Everyone who has heard the invitation is to echo the
message from hill and valley, saying, “Come.”

ဝိညာဉ်ကယ်တင်ခြင်း အလုပ်သည် ဓမ္မဆရာများအပေါ်တွင်သာ မူတည်သည်ဟု ထင်မြင်ခြင်းမှာ ကြီးမားသော မှားယွင်းမှု ဖြစ်သည်။ ဝိညာဉ်များအတွက် ဝန်ထုတ်ဝန်ပိုးကို သခင်က ပေးအပ်ထားသော နှိမ့်ချပြီး ဆက်ကပ်ထားသော ယုံကြည်သူကို ဘုရားသခင်က ပိုမိုကြီးမားသော တာဝန်များ ပေးအပ်ထားသော သူများက အားပေးရမည်။ ဘုရားသခင်၏ အသင်းတော်၌ ခေါင်းဆောင်များအဖြစ် ရပ်တည်သူများသည် ကယ်တင်ရှင်၏ စေခိုင်းချက်ကို ကိုယ်တော်၏ နာမတော်ကို ယုံကြည်သူအားလုံးအား ပေးထားကြောင်း သိရှိနားလည်ရမည်။ ဘုရားသခင်သည် လက်တင်ခြင်း ခံရသော ဓမ္မဆရာ မဟုတ်သူ အများအပြားကိုလည်း ကိုယ်တော်၏ စပျစ်ဥယျာဉ်ထဲသို့ စေလွှတ်တော်မူမည်။

It is fatal mistake to suppose that the work of soul-saving depends
alone upon the ministry. The humble, consecrated believer upon
whom the Master of the vineyard places a burden for souls is to
be given encouragement by the men upon whom the Lord has laid
larger responsibilities. Those who stand as leaders in the church of
God are to realize that the Saviour’s commission is given to all who
believe in His name. God will send forth into His vineyard many
who have not been dedicated to the ministry by the laying on of
hands.

ကယ်တင်ခြင်း သတင်းစကားကို ကြားရပြီးသော ရာနှင့်ချီ၊ ထောင်နှင့်ချီသော သူများသည် တက်ကြွသော အမှုတော်ဆောင်ခြင်း တစ်ခုခုတွင် ပါဝင်နိုင်ပါလျက်နှင့် ဈေးကွက်ထဲတွင် အပျင်းထိုင်နေကြဆဲ ဖြစ်သည်။ ထိုသူတို့အား ခရစ်တော်က “သင်တို့သည် အဘယ်ကြောင့် တစ်နေ့လုံး အလုပ်မရှိဘဲ ရပ်နေကြသနည်း” ဟု မေးကာ “သင်တို့သည်လည်း စပျစ်ဥယျာဉ်သို့ သွားကြလော့” ဟု ထပ်လောင်းမိန့်ကြားတော်မူ၏။ မဿဲ ၂၀:၆၊ ၇။ ထိုခေါ်ယူချက်ကို အဘယ်ကြောင့် လူအများအပြားက တုံ့ပြန်ခြင်း မရှိကြသနည်း။ မိမိတို့သည် တရားဟောစင်မြင့်ပေါ်၌ မရပ်ရသောကြောင့် ကင်းလွတ်ခွင့်ရှိသည်ဟု ထင်မှတ်နေကြသောကြောင့်လော။ ဆက်ကပ်ထားသော ထောင်ပေါင်းများစွာသော သာမန်အသင်းသူ အသင်းသားများအတွက် တရားဟောစင်မြင့် ပြင်ပတွင် လုပ်ဆောင်စရာ အလုပ်များစွာ ရှိကြောင်း သူတို့ကို နားလည်စေပါ။

Hundreds, yea, thousands, who have heard the message of salvation are still idlers in the market place, when they might be engaged
in some line of active service. To these Christ is saying, “Why stand [111]
ye here all the day idle?” and He adds, “Go ye also into the vineyard.” Matthew 20:6, 7. Why is it that many more do not respond
to the call? Is it because they think themselves excused in that they
do not stand in the pulpit? Let them understand that there is a large
work to be done outside the pulpit by thousands of consecrated lay
members.

ဘုရားသခင်သည် လူတိုင်းသည် မိမိတို့၏ စွမ်းဆောင်နိုင်ရည်အလိုက် ကိုယ်တော်အတွက် အလုပ်လုပ်စေရန်၊ အမှုတော်ဆောင်လိုသော စိတ်ဓာတ်သည် အသင်းတော်တစ်ခုလုံးကို လွှမ်းမိုးလာရန် အချိန်အကြာကြီး စောင့်ဆိုင်းခဲ့သည်။ ဘုရားသခင်၏ အသင်းတော်ဝင်များသည် ဧဝံဂေလိစေခိုင်းချက်ကို ပြည့်စုံစေရန် ပြည်တွင်းပြည်ပရှိ လိုအပ်နေသော လယ်ပြင်များတွင် မိမိတို့အား သတ်မှတ်ထားသော အလုပ်များကို လုပ်ဆောင်ကြသောအခါ၊ တစ်လောကလုံးသည် မကြာမီ သတိပေးခြင်း ခံရမည်ဖြစ်ပြီး၊ သခင်ယေရှုသည် တန်ခိုးတော်နှင့် ကြီးစွာသော ဘုန်းအသရေဖြင့် ဤမြေကြီးသို့ ပြန်လည်ကြွလာလိမ့်မည်။ “လူမျိုးအပေါင်းတို့အား သက်သေဖြစ်စေခြင်းငှာ နိုင်ငံတော်၏ ဧဝံဂေလိတရားကို လောကီနိုင်ငံအရပ်ရပ်တို့၌ ဟောရလိမ့်မည်။ သို့ပြီးမှ အဆုံးသည် ဖြစ်လတ္တံ့။” မဿဲ ၂၄:၁၄။

Long has God waited for the spirit of service to take possession
of the whole church so that everyone shall be working for Him
according to his ability. When the members of the church of God
do their appointed work in the needy felds at home and abroad, in
fulfllment of the gospel commission, the whole world will soon be
warned and the Lord Jesus will return to this earth with power and
great glory. “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the
world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
Matthew 24:14.
