အခန်းကြီး - ၈၂

ဘုရားသခင်သည် ဘုရားတို့၏ ပရိသတ်၌ ရပ်လျက် နေတော်မူ၍၊ ဘုရားတို့ အလယ်၌ စီရင်တော်မူ ၏။
² သင်တို့သည် မတရားသော သူတို့၏ မျက်နှာကို ထောက်၍၊ အဘယ်မျှ ကာလပတ်လုံး မတရားသဖြင့် စီရင်ကြမည်နည်း။
³ ဆင်းရဲသော သူနှင့် မိဘမရှိသောသူတို့ကို စောင့်မကြလော့။ ငြိုငြင်သောသူနှင့် ငတ်မွတ်သော သူတို့ဘက်၌ တရားစီရင်ကြလော့။
⁴ ဆင်းရဲသောသူနှင့် ငတ်မွတ်သော သူတို့ကို မတရားသော သူ၏လက်မှ ကယ်နှုတ်ကြလော့။
⁵ သူတို့သည် မသိ၊ နားမလည်ကြ။ မှောင်မိုက်၌ ကျင်လည်ကြ၏။ မြေကြီးတိုက်မြစ်အပေါင်းတို့သည် လှုပ်ရှားလျက်ရှိကြ၏။
⁶ သင်တို့သည် ဘုရားဖြစ်ကြ၏။ ရှိသမျှတို့သည် အမြင့်ဆုံးသော ဘုရား၏သားဖြစ်ကြ၏ဟုငါဆိုသတည်း။
⁷ သို့သော်လည်း၊ သင်တို့သည် လူကဲ့သို့သေ၍၊ အခြားသော မင်းကဲ့သို့ ဆုံးရှုံးခြင်းသို့ရောက်ကြလိမ့်မည်။
⁸ အိုဘုရားသခင်၊ ထ၍မြေကြီးကို တရားစီရင် တော်မူပါ။ ကိုယ်တော်သည် လူမျိုးအပေါင်းတို့ကို အပိုင် ရတော်မူ၏။

ကောင်းကင်တရားရုံး၏ ရူပါရုံတစ်ခုဖြစ်ပြီး၊ ဘုရားသခင်သည် မတရားသော အုပ်စိုးသူများနှင့် မမျှတစွာ တရားစီရင်သူများကို ပြစ်တင်ရှုတ်ချသည့်အခန်းဖြစ်သည်။

82—Rise Up, O God, Judge the Earth!

82:1 congregation of the mighty. Literally, “assembly of God (El)” or “divine assembly.” The assembly in the great hall of justice in heaven, as if the psalmist were in a vision (see 89:5, 7; 1 Kin. 22:19; Job 1:6; 2:1; Is. 6:1–4; compare with Dan. 7:9–10; and 1 Kin. 7:7). gods. Term designates earthly rulers, leaders, mighty ones, judges, and/or princes (v. 7) who were God’s representatives, and whose work was divinely appointed (Ex. 22:28; Deut. 1:17; 16:18; 2 Chr. 19:6; compare with Heb. 13:7). They perverted justice, acted blindly like people walking in darkness (Ps. 82:5). The psalmist sees them assembled before God, the King of the Universe, and judged, because they are accountable to Him for their administration of justice. God is the sovereign and ultimate Judge (Gen. 18:25).

82:2–4 God charges rulers and judges with judging unlawfully, partially, and unjustly. He calls them to pronounce fair sentences and defend those who are the lowest and neediest in society and have no protection.

82:6 You are gods. Not “gods” in the absolute sense, but only “sons [children] of the Most High” as the parallel sentence affirms. They were only earthly rulers and judges whose tasks were allotted by God. This quotation is used by Jesus in John 10:34.

82:8 Arise. The call is intended to solicit God to act, to break silence, and do without delay what is His unique work as the King and Judge—install justice on the earth. all nations. The universality of God’s rule is attested. God is the Creator of everything and all people. Therefore all nations belong to Him, and all should acknowledge Him.
